Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts with us. Having reviewed feedback a report was provided to Warwickshire County Council Cabinet for ther consideration on January 25th. This report outlined the opportunity to re-design and commission a new integrated physical health service to support Warwickshire residents.

Overview

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) currently commission the following health related services:

  • Fitter Futures Warwickshire – Physical Activity on Referral
  • Fitter Futures Warwickshire – Adult Weight Management
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Stop Smoking

This survey provides an opportunity to share your views and experiences about the above physical health services. We value your input to ensure the services meet your needs and we want to hear your views as a Warwickshire resident.

About the services

  • Adult Weight Management on Referral - This service provides a free 12-week programme of weight management support to adults aged 16+. This service is currently delivered by Slimming World, WW (Weight Watchers) and Everyone Health.
  • Physical Activity on Referral - This service provides a tailored 12-week programme of physical activity within a leisure centre setting. The service is for those with specific health conditions. For more information, please see: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/fitter-futures
  • NHS Health Checks – The NHS Health Check is a prevention programme which aims to reduce the chance of a heart attack, stroke or developing some forms of dementia in people aged 40-74. Eligible Warwickshire residents are invited to a GP NHS Health Check every five years. For more information, please see: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/nhs-health-check/ 
  • Stop Smoking – This service provides advice, support and encouragement to help improve your chances of quitting. This service is delivered in certain General Practices, Pharmacies and Community providers.
