Consultation on the proposal to increase the capacity of The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College and to establish resourced provision

Overview

Warwickshire County Council is proposing to increase the capacity of The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College and establish resourced provision.  If approved the proposal would be implemented from Autumn 2027.

The proposal is outlined as follows:

• To increase the capacity of The Avon Valley School from 1100 pupils to 1400 pupils.

• To establish educational provision for children with special educational needs in the form of resourced provision for up to 20 secondary aged pupils with Communication and Interaction needs.

Why your views matter

This consultation is being undertaken to advise you of the proposal to increase capacity at The Avon Valley School and to establish education provision for children with special educational needs in the form of resourced provision and to invite you to tell us what you think of the proposal. This is part of a statutory consultation process that Warwickshire County Council is managing in partnership with the Governing Body.

We welcome your views on the proposal and all viewpoints will be taken into account as part of the decision-making process.

Deadline for comments is 20th July 2025

Following the end of the consultation we shall publish the results and this may include quotes of comments which will be anonymous.
