Consultation on the Proposal to Establish Specialist Resourced Provision at Dunnington CofE Primary School

Closes 9 Feb 2025

Opened 13 Jan 2025

Overview

In order to meet forecast demand and build on the local offer of specialist provision, the local authority is continuing the development of Specialist Resourced Provision (SRP) across the county whereby pupils, who are able to access a mainstream curriculum, can have their needs met and benefit from being located within a mainstream school environment.

The local authority has identified a need to expand SRP’s across the county, that offers a bridge between mainstream and specialist provision. These are based in local schools and support children who are not coping with mainstream classes.

Warwickshire County Council is proposing to establish an SRP for up to 8 primary aged pupils at Dunnington CofE Primary School.  If approved the provision would be implemented for September 2025.

The specialist resourced provision at Dunnington CofE Primary School will support pupils with an Education, Health and Care plan whose primary needs are social, emotional and mental health.  These pupils will benefit from accessing education at a mainstream primary school through a flexible approach, tailored and adapted to their needs.

Further information on the proposal is contained in the consultation document below.
