Consultation to increase the published admission number and formally recognise the Year 7 annual intake as 240 rather than 224 at The Polesworth School from September 2020
Overview
The Polesworth School is undertaking a consultation to increase the published admission number (PAN) from September 2020 and formally recognise the Year 7 annual intake as 240 rather than 224.
There will be no substantive change to the overall size of the school. In addition the admission arrangements remain unchanged.
This is a consultation being undertaken by The Polesworth School with support from Warwickshire County Council
Why your views matter
This consultation serves two purposes:
• Firstly, it simply formalises what has happened informally for a number of years in that The Polesworth School take 240 students in Year 7 rather than the 224 which is currently their PAN. The change in PAN for Year 7 entry will take effect from September 2020.
• Secondly, the formal recognition of a PAN of 240 removes administrative barriers to The Polesworth School being able to secure funds for further school improvement.
