Local transport in Warwickshire

Overview

The Council has been given funding from government to improve the local transport network up to March 2030. This includes funding for things like improving roads, supporting bus services, and providing walking and cycling routes.

We have some flexibility in how this funding is used, and we want to make sure it focuses on what matters most to local people.

This survey asks for your views on how you travel now, what affects your travel choices, what works well and what doesn’t, and what changes or improvements should be prioritised in the future.

Transport plays an important role in daily life, helping people get to work or school, access services, and visit friends and family.

The Local Transport Plan is the Council’s long-term plan for how transport should work in Warwickshire. It sets out what we want to achieve and how we will improve transport over time.

The plan, including its four key themes, was shaped by feedback from residents and organisations across Warwickshire and adopted in 2023. The four key themes are: supporting the economy, improving health and wellbeing, protecting the environment, and supporting places. There are strong links between these themes, and improving transport can often bring wider benefits, such as improving health, supporting local areas and making better use of space.

We are now looking at how to invest new funding. There are many different needs across Warwickshire, and we cannot do everything at once.

Your feedback will help us understand what matters most to people now and where we should focus investment.
