Wellbeing

Supervision records should evidence that:

  • The supervisee has been provided with the opportunity to discuss their wellbeing within each supervision session
  • Wellbeing discussions include role satisfaction, morale, attendance, annual leave, diversity, health and safety, agile working relationships
  • Any equality and diversity issues have been considered and addressed where necessary 
  • Staff support services have been offered to the supervisee where necessary  
  • Personal Wellbeing Plan has been completed if deemed necessary  
  • Workload is monitored and managed effectively

Development and Training
  • The supervisees learning needs are identified and opportunities identified  
  • The supervisee has been given feedback on performance and practice issues, including strengths and areas for development, identifying how these could be addressed.

Ensuring Good Outcomes
  • Restorative and relational principles are used and are effective  
  • Management Oversight is evidenced based and clearly recorded 
  • Performance conversations are held within timescales and reflect what the supervisee needs to do to achieve positive outcomes  
  • Key decisions have been approved by manager (e.g. change in working hours, agreement to training etc)
  • Children and Families are central to planning
  • Drift in progress is identified and action taken
